VALENCIA LAND OF PAELLA 6 days
Valencia region is the birthplace of Paella - the most popular and international dish of the Spanish gastronomy. Our 2,000-year-old city, one of Spain’s oldest, was founded by retiring Roman soldiers given land by Caesar as a reward for their bravery. With the best weather in Spain, and less crowds than you’ll find in Barcelona to the north or Alicante to the south, it rewards visitors with its abundant produce, friendly people and lots of sunshine.
During your paella cooking holidays with us you will see how seriously we Valencians take our food culture heritage. You will take part in the most Valencian foodie activities yourself, with culinary visits and cooking classes both in the bustling city and in its fertile surrounding lands. |
With our 3 paella cooking classes set both in the city and on the beautiful Lake Albufera with its rice paddies, you will master the skill of making the authentic paella valenciana, seafood paella and black rice! In between the cooking classes we will take you to a rustic winery for a tour and wine tasting, and to artisan olive oil makers. You will learn about the UNESCO Heritage Fallas festival and eat at atmospheric Spanish tapas bars...And enjoy a great night of flamenco!

The interior refurbishment has been developed by Alfaro-Manrique study with natural materials (wood, iron or ceramic), they have managed to reinterpret its historic character of an elegant and modern way without compromising the historic atmosphere. |
